These little angels are one of the many Christmas projects I've been working on during the last few weeks. I know, I know, don't even mention Christmas yet. Way too early - not for magazine publishers, these two tree-toppers are off to Creative Steps. They're made from washing-up liquid bottles (American translation: dish-washing soap bottles) with pa·pier-mâ·ché heads and dressed in felt, tulle and other bits.
People often ask how I paint faces on projects like these, assuming the faces are the hardest part, so while making the angels I thought this little tutorial would show just how simple it is.
This cheerful peg fairy was made with a reception class. I prepared the faces for them and together we added tulle, twisted pipe cleaners and decorations. They love making them, and hundreds of pegs later, I still like making them too :)
Ooooh - they are lovely !
Thank you for the fab tutorials too.
