Kiddy craft, reusing plastic packaging
Supplies:
- Lid from a plastic fruit container
- Fine permanent marker
- Tissue paper in a variety of colours
- PVA glue
- Paint brush for the glue
- Tapestry needle and thread in any colour
- Scissors
1. Slowly peel any stickers off the plastic lid.
2. Using a permanent marker, draw a simplified picture on the lid (this can be done on paper first, then put the lid over the paper drawing and trace it with the marker.)
3. Tear or cut up small pieces of tissue paper choosing the colours that best fit in your picture then paint glue on the lid over the picture you’ve drawn and lay pieces of tissue down to colour in your picture.
4. When the tissue is finished paint another layer of PVA over the picture and leave to dry.
5. Poke holes in the two top corners of the lid with the tapestry needle, and tie a thread loosely through the two holes leaving enough to hang the picture.
Hang it up in a window and see the colours shine through:)
